From our early beginnings as an up-and-coming company with an industry-first product, we have grown into an award-wining, globally renowned name; the market’s foremost authority on exceptional floors.
A promising start..
Our heritage dates back to the early 1990s*, when the company was founded on the Chelsea Embankment. Originally titled ‘River Flooring’, we later settled on the name ‘Element7’, referring to the seven elements of nature – of which wood, our prized material, is the seventh. We immediately set ourselves apart from our competitors with our luxurious wide plank flooring, which came with a guaranteed performance over radiant underfloor heating. As the first British company ever to pioneer this cutting-edge product, Element7 soon established a reputation for innovation and distinction.
From strength to strength…
From 2002, our showroom was based in Parsons Green, where our distribution and warehouse is still located. Having witnessed the unqualified success of our wide plank wood floors, we diversified with a wealth of new products, including parquet patterns, sumptuous leather, and exquisite bespoke designs. We continued to strengthen Element7’s status as an industry leader with numerous other UK firsts, including grey hardwood floors and uncorrected full-grain leather floors. We were also the first to introduce long-lasting finishes that lasted over three decades, without the need for refinishing.
Element7 today
In 2016, we moved our main showroom to a sumptuous new 5,000 sq. ft space located adjacent to The Chelsea Design Centre – a space that we still call home today. Unquestionably Element7 has become synonymous with the very finest flooring available on the prestige market. Crafted with beautiful designs, exceptional engineering and highly advanced finishes, our Benchmark range is regarded as the industry standard.
Commissioned at prestigious addresses throughout the UK and internationally, we are a favourite amongst leading architects, prominent interior designers, and high-status private clients alike.
True to our roots, we continue to lead the market with the latest innovations whilst upholding the Element7 commitment to quality.
Our beautiful London space is one of the largest flooring showrooms in Europe where you can see generous large-scale flooring installations, whilst our expert team will be at hand to answer any queries you may have about Element7 products.
Working with Element7 is a very enjoyable experience all round, totally plain sailing. The flooring installed in our spectacular project in London is absolutely stunning. The detail is second to none, as is the installation and care for their clients too.
